The Life Cycle of Mr. YEW

I found myself explaining my love of Yew wood to co-workers at a farewell party for some summer students!

Never could I imagine what this evening would eventually produce! 

The Monday morning following that Friday, I walked into my office to find a large chunk of YEW wood...

So overcome with joy I immediately ran over to the one responsible and thanked him for this outrageously generous gift! 

Days past and the wood just sat in front of me... Lifeless... I knew I had to do something... But what?

August 29th 2013, Mr. Yew was born.

I was the steward of what would come to be, one of the most popular new additions to the McElhanney team.

Mr. Yews first day at work. He took to the job quite fast, some argue that he went through the forestry training in record time.
